How to add a website footer
A footer is a fixed block at the bottom of a website that includes contact details, legal notices, navigation links, or other important information.
In this article, we will talk about how to add a footer using SendPulse’s website builder.
Add the block
Click Add block and go to the toolbar on the left. In the Footer section, select a template.
The footer is a sitewide block, meaning that it appears on all website pages. Any changes you make to it are synchronized. You can hide this block on specific pages using their settings.
Add footer content
You can edit template elements or add new sections, columns, and widgets to enhance your footer. Hover over a template element and click + Add widget/section/column.
Using widgets, you can add the following types of content to your footer:
Main navigation | Add links to website blocks using the Text widget.
Enter and select a section name, and add a link using block ID. |
Contact information | Add social media links using the Chatbots, Socials, and Map widgets. |
Legal information | Add privacy policy links using the Text widget. Drag it to the workspace, and paste the link to your document or website page. |
Subscription form | Add a subscription form using the Form widget. |
You can also use the Spacer and Divider widgets to space out your elements.
If you have a large website with multiple sections, we recommend adding the Up button. This allows users to instantly scroll back to the top from your footer or any other section.
Customize the footer
To customize your footer, hover over it and click the pencil icon (Block settings). You can use the following options:
Background color | Select a background color from the palette. |
Top and bottom margin | Set margins in pixels. These spaces will be empty, and you cannot add elements to them. |
Background image | Select a file from the file manager or upload your own file. You can add a file no larger than 5 MB. |
Top divider | This option separates your footer using a line above it.
Set a shape, color, repetition, and flip. |
Bottom divider | This option separates your footer using a line under it. Set a shape, color, repetition, and flip. |
Full-screen width | Your website footer will appear across the entire website width. |
Full-screen height | Your website footer will appear across the entire website height. |
Hide block on | Your website footer will not appear on the desktop or mobile website version. Decide where to hide it. |
Pin from the bottom of the site | Your website footer will be pinned as the lowest page element. |
