SendPulse’s MCP server helps your AI assistant take action right in your SendPulse account. Type in a prompt like Send a campaign to chatbot subscribers tagged as “new” so that AI can figure out how to take care of it.

With SendPulse’s MCP server, you can seamlessly integrate ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI software with any SendPulse tool. This will help you smooth out your daily workflows, save time, and reach your goals faster.

Get started with MCP in a few simple steps

  • Head over to your client software

    Pick the client you’d like to integrate with your SendPulse account. Options include Cursor IDE, ChatGPT Desktop, Claude Desktop, or any other MCP-compatible software, including their browser versions. To give you an idea, you can pair one of these tools with SendPulse's chatbot builder.

  • Add SendPulse’s MCP server

    Go to your client settings and add a new server:
    https://mcp.sendpulse.com/mcp

  • Log in to SendPulse

    Log in to your SendPulse account using your API key or account credentials. Then, give your AI assistant access when prompted.

  • Get your tools running

    Every enabled tool affects task execution time and token usage. The more tools you add, the more time and tokens your task will take.

  • Start automating

    Guide your AI assistant using plain language, follow along, and gauge success.

Plugins, on the other hand, are limited in scope and usually tied to specific software, like ChatGPT.

SendPulse’s MCP server supports all major AI software, including Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, and more. It runs in the cloud, so there’s nothing to install.

It only takes about 10 minutes to get started with SendPulse’s MCP server. Our setup guide will walk you through every step.

Your AI provider doesn't have direct access to your SendPulse account data. AI models can only take the actions you explicitly authorize when setting up the MCP server. Authentication is handled through secure access keys or verified account sign-ins. Your data stays in your SendPulse account, and the AI only sees the information returned by the tool you prompt it to run.

Your prompts go directly to the AI provider you've integrated, like Claude or ChatGPT. The only difference from a standard AI chat is that your AI agent can also take authorized actions in your SendPulse account. SendPulse doesn't save or process your prompts.

Yes, connecting and using SendPulse’s MCP server is free. However, your AI provider may charge for MCP access or usage depending on your plan. Some platforms include MCP support at no extra cost, while others require a paid subscription. See your AI provider's pricing to learn more.

Like any AI model, it can make mistakes or misunderstand your prompts — this is a limitation of AI, not the MCP server. That said, before your AI agent takes any action, you'll have a chance to go over its plan and approve or cancel it. We recommend keeping an eye on your agent's actions, especially when it comes to important data or customer interactions. AI works best with human oversight.
