How to configure a multilingual pop-up

Multilingual pop-ups allow website visitors to switch between your pop-up language versions and access content in their native language. You can use these pop-ups to enhance your website usability and user experience.

In this article, we will talk about how to add language versions to your pop-up.

Select a default language

First, you need to select the default language that will be visible to all visitors when they open your website page.

When creating or editing a pop-up, click the globe icon in the upper right corner of the workspace.

Click Add default language.

Select a language from the drop-down list. To find it quickly, you can enter its name in the search bar.

We recommend selecting a widely spoken language because all visitors will see it when landing on your website. If you already have customized content, it should match your pop-up language. If you're planning to add content, it should match the language you've selected as the default one.

Select another language version

Once you have added the default language, you can add another language version to your pop-up.

Click the globe icon in the upper right corner of the workspace. Click Add language version.

Customize your content

Add pop-up text in your default language. To go to content editing, click the language icon in the Default language section. You will see a pop-up editing panel on the right.

Once you set up your default pop-up content, click another language version, and in the right panel, add text in the selected language.

Design and element setup apply to all versions.

You can switch between versions and edit their content separately.

Click Save.

After publication, your pop-up will include a button with your language versions. Website visitors will be able to click it, and select an available option.

Manage language versions

You can add five more language versions to the one selected by default. One pop-up can include six languages.

You can set your added language version as the default one. To do this, click the arrow icon next to the language you want to set as the default one.

To delete a language version, click the trash can icon.

All language versions have shared statistics stored within their pop-up.
