How to edit contacts
Make sure to update your CRM contacts' phone numbers or company information to increase communication effectiveness, enhance customer service, and make better management decisions.
In this article, we will talk about what contact information you can edit.
Click a contact to view and edit their information.
In the upper corner of contact cards, you can edit contacts’ first and last names.
On the left, you can edit contact information in the following sections:
Contact data |
Contains contact information. To update your contact's email address, enter a new one as If you have several phone numbers or email addresses for one subscriber, you can mark one of them as primary. This will help your team members navigate loads of contact info easier and limit the number of messages triggered by events in CRM. To do this, click the field where you have several phone numbers or email addresses, select one of them, and click Save. By default, the contact info that was added first is marked as primary. |
Attributes |
Contains contact tags and fields. You can add specific contact tags to send personalized emails, SMS campaigns, and chatbot messages. To do this, enter or select a value next to a contact attribute, or create a new one. If a visitor goes to your website using a link with UTM tag, fills out a subscription form on your SendPulse-based website, or registers for a course created with the Courses service, these tags will be transferred to the corresponding contact fields. |
Company |
Contains information about linked companies. You can link an existing company or create a new one. To do this, click Add a company, enter the required data, and click Save. Read also: How to create a company. |
File |
Contains uploaded files. You can also add new files. Click on the edit icon to manage your uploaded files. You can add a file to your device, locate the file in the SendPulse file manager, and delete it. Note that you can remove files just from their contacts or both from contacts and the SendPulse file manager. |
You can hide empty fields in your contact cards to process and analyze information easier. To do this, click Hide empty fields in any contact card. Afterward, you will see only filled fields in all cards. Your settings will not affect how other CRM users see their information.
To view hidden fields, click Show empty fields.
