How to manage task templates
If you need to do the same task regularly, you can set it on repeat. These tasks are saved as templates, and duplicates will appear on your board as their scheduled date and time approach.
Create a template
When creating a task, select a repetition frequency, and set your time parameters in the Task repeat settings.
Each | Select a repetition frequency.
Daily | If you set the frequency to 5 , a new task will be created every fifth day at the specified time, starting from the selected task's start date. |
|
Weekly | If you set the frequency to 2 , a new task will be created every second week at the specified time, starting from the selected task's start date. |
|
Monthly | Repeat your task every X day or every selected day of the week of every X month at the specified time.
Yearly | Repeat your task every X days or on the selected day of the week in the selected month at the specified time.
Repeat from | Select a repeat start date.
Task creation time | Enter the time when your task should be added to the board.
Complete | Turn on the toggle to set an end condition.
By date | Select the date after which your task will not be repeated.
After | Enter the number of times your task should be repeated before stopping. |
View and edit task templates
All repeated tasks are saved to Task templates. You can access them to edit a scheduled task template and create a new task with modified parameters at the specified time.
The Task templates section shows only the task templates where you configured the Repeat task option. You cannot repeat tasks where this option is not configured.
Select and edit your template. Your new settings will be applied to all future tasks on the board at the selected time.
