How a WhatsApp Chatbot Works in Trial Mode

When you connect a WhatsApp chatbot, you will need to verify your business Facebook account. Until you complete the verification, you can test the chatbot in trial mode with limited functionality.

The trial mode is divided into two tiers, depending on the information provided:

Unverified trial experience (after going through the built-in registration).

Notifications: You can send up to 10 messages per day to two phone numbers using pre-approved message templates to send notifications.

Customer Service Messages (replies to incoming chats): You can send an unlimited number of messages to 10 phone numbers.

Expanded trial (after verifying documents as part of company confirmation — it can take up to 24 hours after submitting your documents).

Notifications: You can send up to 10 messages per day to two phone numbers using pre-approved message templates to send notifications.

Customer Service Messages (replies to incoming chats): You can have up to 1,500 conversations within 24 hours with customers who have started the conversation themselves.

The trial period for WhatsApp chatbots is provided for 30 days. After this time, you will not be able to send WhatsApp messages until you complete the Facebook business account verification, pass all of WhatsApp’s checks, and receive confirmation of the display name for your linked phone number.

We recommend uploading documents to verify your Facebook business account in advance, as the verification process can take a long time, and the chatbot may stop. After confirmation, you will get full access to the chatbot functions within the selected pricing plan and your current account level.
